Learn More The Academy for Urban School Leadership is a nonprofit school management organization that leads one of the largest networks in Chicago with 31 neighborhood Schools of Excellence. Founded in 2001 as the nation’s first teacher residency program, we grew by delivering whole school transformations and now serve over 16,000 students, 92% of whom qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Last year, 97% of our high school students were accepted into college, and our students continue to show improvements in math and reading each year. We work tirelessly to deliver on the promise that all students have access to an excellent education, right in their own neighborhoods.
